www.ennisart.net | Charlotte NC
This site is a portfolio-based "brochure" site advertising creative concrete and interior installation solutions by Tom Schulz. Because Schulz is as much artist as a contractor, we wanted this site to present Schulz as enormously creative and clearly confident in a construction site. Features: Nice slideshows throughout...
www.empathinc.com | Charlotte NC
Part gallery, part interactive forum for all things "Empathinc", this site has hosted numerous artists and successfully generated PR blitzes and announcements about upcoming events to its mailing list. Features a wild little embedded video of concrete bits shuffling around to a worker bee tune.
www.bizzybeezcleaning.com | Boulder CO
Here's an example of something we did (and can do) for any client who JUST needs a solid, informative landing (home) page. This little project was a piece of cake, fun, and 100% effective. Nichole is signing up new clients via Google searches. (For anyone afraid of the cost of a web site: this page took about a half an hour to create...)
www.TeamDesktop.com | Chapel Hill NC
Nate Kipp develops and markets the first sports team management software. I helped him design the software, as well as a "starter" web site to market it. Although he maintains and built out the interior pages of this site, he asked that I design a great-looking home page for him that would grab attention. Features: super affordable royalty-free photography.
www.ecobydesign.net | Santa Cruz CA
Landscape designer and business owner Treesa Rogerson wanted her 50+ photograph portfolio front and center. We decided to incorporate it directly into the home page in an attractive and unique layout. The "tree" of project thumbnails opens to detailed photographs, which are organized in interactive windows for easy viewing.
www.coatesdentaldds.com | Greensboro NC
Greensboro dentist Brian Coates needed a professional, but very inviting site for his growing dental practice. The photo does his advertising for him: he sells smiles. Some basic search engine optimization and well named pages have been the key to his getting local site traffic (and new clients) from the first week this site went live. Good!
www.scottavett.com | Charlotte NC
Artist Scott Avett's web site called for a clean, understated design that would effectively showcase but not upstage his paintings. Top right hand corner utilizes a small news box that makes his site easy to update and thus draw in, new visitors...
www.madarasdesign.com Ann Arbor MI
Designer/builder Douglas Madaras needed a web site and logo that described his signature style, something he has termed "spatial sculpting." His interiors are flowing, somewhat "zen" like and equally masculine and feminine in feel. (This site is maintained by client.)
A series of oral history projects about the South and its food by The Southern Foodways Alliance, Tabasco™ and Viking™. These sites feature interactive maps, audio clips and bold, distinct graphics within an overall design "template". The look means to convey classic "Greetings From..." postcards sent from the Trails.
The Mississippi Historical Society recently awarded this Tamale Trail project the 2006 award for Outstanding Oral History Project.
